AV Industrial Action – Members Vote YES!!!
Voting on Protected Industrial Action was completed at 1400 yesterday. We are pleased to inform members that all 26 actions were overwhelmingly voted up.
77.2% of eligible members took part in the vote. This was a higher engagement in an industrial action ballot than those run during the Code Red campaign.
All actions were endorsed by over 85%. Most actions were voted up with over 90-95% of members endorsing the actions.
This is a very strong result which should send a strong message to Ambulance Victoria (AV) and the Victorian Government that after more than a year of bargaining, the current offer does not come close to improving the working lives of the AV workforce.
The VAU have notified AV that members will begin taking the following actions starting from 0700 Monday 18 March 2024.
