Master and Doctor of Advanced Clinical Practice (Paramedicine Practitioner) now available at Deakin University
The Victorian Ambulance Union Incorporated (VAU) is pleased to announce to members that Deakin University have confirmed that their Master and Doctor of Advanced Clinical Practice (Paramedic Practitioner) commenced in Trimester 1 2021.
One of our partners, Fellow of Australasian College of Paramedic Practitioners (FACPP) have been assisting with the development of this Course, and Deakin has built – in a Fellowship stream for direct entry into their College as part of this Masters program. Deakin will be the first University to facilitate the vigorous Paramedic Practitioner Accreditation Process.
This is a great step forward for Paramedics and the VAU who have supported the introduction of a Prescribing Paramedic Practitioner model.
This path will now allow professional progress for the Paramedic Profession, and Paramedics who wish to continue their studies and work in Primary Healthcare.
We have been proud to support FACPP in the establishment of their College and their goal of achieving the appropriate training for a paramedic practitioner.
