AUSTIN HOSPITAL ARREST

On 10 July 2025 the VAU were informed that Victoria Police had arrested an individual who works at the Austin Hospital, following allegations of illegally placing a camera in a hospital toilet.

We are advised that the toilet is in an area that is frequented by our members when they are at the Austin Hospital and therefore it is possible that some of our members (AV and NEPT) may be impacted.

AV have advised that they are communicating with Victoria Police and the Austin Hospital. We will continue to liaise with AV and NEPT employers to ensure that members are kept informed and supported.
