AV EBA TIMELINE – UPDATE
Work has continued on finalising the new in-principle AV Enterprise Agreement 2024. Drafting has been completed and last night the Government gave their final approval of the deal, allowing the parties to put the in-principle agreement out to be voted on.
The full draft agreement is scheduled to be circulated to the workforce to be on Thursday 21 November 2024. This is a compulsory process under the Fair Work Act.
Voting will occur between 2 December and 16 December 2024
The ballot will be conducted by an external company called CiVS. Members will receive a link sent to your Ambulance Victoria email address and mobile phone number if AV have it. Please make sure those details are up to date in the employee kiosk.
If successful, the agreement will be provided to the Fair Work Commission for final approval and comes into effect seven days after. Wage increases will be back paid to 21 October 2024 and further annual wage increases and new increments will take effect from 21 October each year of the Agreement.
If successful, this deal delivers:
- The biggest improvements to AV working conditions in decades
- The best end of shift management protections in Australia
- Wage increases that make most classifications the highest paid in Australia
- Increases that make Victorian MICA paramedics by far the highest paid in Australia
- Better reward for experience in the job better than anywhere in Australia
- Recognition of ACOs for their commitment to their community
- Moves NEPT members into annual progression structure
- No loss of entitlements
The VAU State Council have endorsed this deal and strongly encourage all members to
VOTE YES to the new Agreement.
