On Tuesday 14 February, the Victorian Ambulance Union Incorporated met with representatives from Ambulance Victoria to continue negotiations on a new enterprise agreement to replace the Ambulance Victoria Enterprise Agreement 2020 which expires on 31 January 2024.

Also in attendance were representatives from the United Workers Union (UWU) and the Department of Health (DHS).

In that meeting the VAU began the process of presenting, explaining, and arguing the case for each of our claims for improvements to your wages and conditions including duration of the agreement, definitions, wages, classification structure, new classifications, and claims relating to ACOs, PE’s and CI’s, ARU, AAV, ARU, Communications, Triage Services, TMs and STMs, GAPs, and MICA.

There are no responses to report as yet. The bargaining process starts with each of the parties explaining their claims.

Remember, it is vitally important that all AV members nominate the VAU as your bargaining representative by clicking on the link embedded in the original bulletin the VAU sent to its members and entering in all relevant details. This will ensure that you will be included in any ballot to take part in protected industrial action should that need to occur once the Agreement expires.

IN SOLIDARITY!
