The VAU has received the results of the Protected Action Ballot conducted for St John employees in support of their application to take Industrial Action. There were 13 actions listed in the ballot and members voted YES to all of them.

Over 92% of eligible VAU members working at St John cast a vote in this highly important historical ballot.

CONGRATULATIONS TO ALL THOSE MEMBERS!

Of the members who cast a vote, most voted in favour of all the actions. In the case of some of the actions, the figure was as high as 97%. This is an emphatic result which reinforces the disappointment and anger currently felt by our St John members.

After more than 12 months of bargaining, members have indicated their disgust at the contemptible wage offer made by St John.

The voting results show the extent of the engagement shown by members. We will keep you all informed of the next steps as we move towards taking the first actions over the coming days and weeks. Stay tuned for these important updates via Bulletins and Facebook posts. The VAU will provide you with the information you need to make informed choices about how to participate in industrial action.

IN SOLIDARITY
