To assist members, the VAU has compiled a list of available support services for members to contact if required.

The Victorian Ambulance Union Incorporated (VAU) acknowledges that recent discussions and media attention concerning discrimination, bullying/harassment and other adverse treatment within Ambulance Victoria (AV) may be distressing to some members.

Discussions in the workplace, online or in the media may cause members to relive past traumas, exacerbate feelings of stress, isolation, anxiety or other mental health concerns and/or require members to seek support because of their experiences.

The VAU wants members to reach out and ask for help if they need it. This may mean accessing any of the services or groups below, speaking to your family and friends or calling the VAU for referral to the appropriate experts and resources.

We do not want our members to feel isolated or unsure of where to go for help.

We reiterate that if you are experiencing any difficulty there are supports in place which you can access.

If you have any questions please email VAU at [email protected].

In the meantime, please look out for your colleagues and friends and engage with others with kindness and compassion.

In solidarity,
