Triple Zero Victoria (TZV) has advised the Victorian Ambulance Union Incorporated (VAU) that the In-principle Agreement has finally been approved by Government. Therefore, TZV employees will be able to vote on whether to approve the proposed Agreement between Monday, 21 October 2024 until Wednesday, 30 October 2024. Additionally, TZV will commence a series of 20-minute information sessions, known as “roadshows”. The session will be conducted by EMECS and MECS at all three SECCs to explain the proposed Agreement.

What difference will it make to me?

The key improvements to work conditions for TZV members are highlighted in the supporting documents at the bottom of the bulletin. The ‘key entitlements’ document is a snapshot of entitlements that have the widest ranging benefit and are not indicative of the entirety of improvements in the proposed EA. The full HoA is also linked.

What’s next?

Shortly, TZV will advise employees of the voting process, which will be an online voting process.  If the majority of employees vote yes and endorse the Agreement, the Fair Work Commission will be asked to approve the proposed Agreement. Following approval from the Fair Work Commission, employees will be entitled to improved wages and conditions. We are hopeful that approval will occur before the end of the year.

VOTE YES!

Getting this Agreement voted up and approved will ensure that you receive the wages and conditions that you deserve. The VAU and your delegates endorse the Proposed Agreement that we have bargained for over the last two years, and believe it puts our members in the best possible position.

The VAU would like to thank our delegates and all members who participated in Industrial Action and engaged in the process over this period. These actions contributed towards bringing TZV back to the table with improved offers on our claims and the final outcome.
